Busy promoting our new show Northern Military Expo & 4x4 Show which we are organising in conjunction with Jeep Promotions & Axholme Signs. All the literature is ready and we've already done our first email and postal mail outs. We're setting up links with lots of event listing sites and will be handing out flyers and trade applications at The War & Peace Show in July.
Wheels & Wings 2010

Northern Military Expo
Well that's it site visit done, all decided we're going to take the leap and put on an event of our own. Sunday 5th December 2010 will be the first Northern Military Expo & 4x4 Show... Very exciting and very nervous at the same time... there will be (fingers crossed) over 200 stalls, vehicles for sale and even a traders evening on the saturday night. Stoneleigh 2010
I'll be heading down to Stoneleigh next weekend helping Axholme Signs with their stall. We are pitch 106 if you want to come along and say hello.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and we are all sticking to our resolutions! We had a total family christmas which was great and even managed a frost run (ok more snow run) in the jeeps around our local villages. There's lots to do before the start of the season, looking forward to Stoneleigh at the end of the month, and making changes to the website and helping customers with their pre-season designs.
End Of Season
Its that time of year again, designing dance tickets for Normandy 44 end of year dance and planning christmas email shots... suppose its time we also start the Christmas Shopping! Looking forward to catching up with plenty of peeps at Malvern later this month, I'll be there with Axholme Signs manning their stall on Sunday and helping out with Jeep World Books setup on Saturday as always. Sorry for the delay in any responses over the next week we are away at a show and unsure about mobile coverage for picking up emails. France 2009
So we're back... France as always was fantastic... the celebrations were a little more understated than I expected for the 65th but we visited some different places and missed out on seeing other things because of how busy everywhere was. We based ourselves in the American sector as usual around Carentan, but for the evening of 5th we made our way over to Pegasus Bridge and crashed (literally in original tents) with our friends from IMPS. The fireworks along the coast were great and we watched the 220 runners arrive at 00:16 on the 6th. I would have loved to be at Omaha to pay our respects along side Mr Obahma but you can only fit so many things in in a week. Hey ho, back to the grind and we will be back again next year (if not sooner).... 'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it...George Santayana
D Day
It's that time of year again, off to France for the festivities so appologies for any delays in getting back to anyone. We will be back on 10th June, so there for a week or so this year. Really looking forward to it as although we went last year too I have not been on a major anniversary. Mind you I am sure it will be slow going getting anywhere but hey it's all part of the fun! We are staying near Carentan and will no doubt be venturing to the US beaches as well as making a special effort to visit some British memorials this year. If you will be over there we'll be the ones driving a jeep dressed in green!
Weekend off??
Ok so we all know there is no such thing but I will be venturing out for the day on Sunday to the Yorkshire MVT Crank Up at the Eye Of York. Loads of military vehicles to be seen and may go up in something of our own, should be a good day and a great chance to catch up with people we haven't seen in ages... maybe see some of your there?
